Narangerel Tumet

Ögöömör Dalain

Backstory

Narangerel grew up with a fairly normal childhood-for her tribe at any rate. At ten she passed the Tumet's Rite, earning her place amongst the tribe. Even before that, however, she had found herself in charge of her three younger brothers. Time passed and they too passed their Rite's...all except the youngest. Narangerel at this time was nineteen, and had been the primary caretaker of her brothers since the death of her parent's in a raid a few years prior.

Narangerel had always been a bit of a loner, something of an oddity but not terribly so. Her closest relationship were with her brothers, but as the two older ones grew and found their place in the Tribe, she found herself at a loss for what to do. Once certain they were in good hands, she found herself walking off one morning with little but the supplies needed to survive the Steppe on her own. She stopped by the Sacred Tree she had last seen her youngest brother at, but of course there was no trace of what had happened by that point. Knowing the likely fate that had befallen him didn't stop her from deciding to search and see if perhaps he had found his way to another Tribe.

Thus began her travels. What began as a search amongst the Steppe for her lost brother turned into a wandering lifestyle far beyond, even into Eorzea.

Present

After a few years of wandering on her own, Narangerel found herself homesick. Fearing what she would face returning to her Tribe after leaving with no word, especially from her brothers, she thought it a stroke of good fortune, a blessing from the Dusk Mother or Dawn Father, when she found an Eorzea based tribe called Nuur Khuudas. Though hesitant to aproach (especially as the leaders were Dotharl), she found a welcoming home amongst them and has settled in quite well.

Though she still struggles to build relationships with others, she's working on it and is happy to help provide for her new Tribe. Though she does still hope to one day reconnect with her birth Tribe, she has yet to build the courage to do so. She's hesitant enough to speak to the few other Tumet she has come across since leaving.

ABOUT

Narangerel is skilled with fishing, gathering plants, and minor conjury (primarily offensive with minor ability in healing). She is able to speak common Eorzean fluently as well as her native tongue.

She's working on her archery, socializing skills, and crafting skills (primarily leather and cloth working).

She is a terrible cook, and if she isn't provided food is known to eat whatever it is raw. Or burnt. There is no in between.

She's often got unevenly cut hair, though if it is longer it's a toss up on if it's brushed or knotted. She wears concealing clothing most often, though she will occasionally wear more traditional garments.

She has a pet mole, named Mole. He's just reached adulthood and begun to display characteristics of his species. Primarily a solitary personality. He's also beginning to look a lot more like a tasty meal and soft hat every time he gets into something he shouldn't. Though Narangerel hasn't actually said how she came to have Mole as a pet, and though he is getting on her nerves now, she is still protective of him and doesn't actually plan on turning him into soup. Yet.

Though she isn't skilled in combat, beyond the very basics of archery and conjury, she's quite adept at not getting lost. At least in the wilderness. Cities confuse her and she frequently tries to find ways to avoid entering the larger ones.

Perhaps because of her Tumet Rite, she's also good at escaping rope bonds. Not something she mentions, and not something that is likely to come up, considering her reserved nature.

She's currently single. She has an interest in perhaps pursuing a relationship, but also isn't actively searching one out.
